Impact South Africa program is still going on. June 27-July 18 is our key outreach time. As I am typing this on the 15th...one team is in Zambia, one team serving at a national junior rugby tournament in SA, one team running a day camp in Stellenbosch and one team co-leading another camp in Somer Set west . All the teams will start coming together in the next few days but all will be together on the 18th.
We did an outreach in Zambia from July 6-15th. It was truly a blessed time. Zambia is a very peaceful nation. It is truly at the heart of Africa like they say.
Zambia is bordering several other African countries which makes it a brilliant country to send out missionaries from to the rest of Africa. We partnered with operation mobilization (OM) in Zambia specifically with their sport ministry.
It was truly great to serve alongside local leaders in Zambia helping with several different outreaches which included: running soccer practices and doing Bible studies with different soccer teams. Some of the teams were in villages, some in the city of Kabwe. We were also able to help with getting a building ready in Makalulu, where OM will run a children's ministry from. We also did door to door evangelism. It is amazing how receptive the people were to conversations about God, His word and the Gospel. At one of the houses we visited...one man accepted Christ for the 1st time! We praise God for this! Please pray with for Him as he starts a relationship with God. We were very busy in the day, but had our evenings off to rest.
Most of Zambia's population claim to be Christian, and goes to church, but fewer actually have a relationship with God. It is similar to the USA and SA, where the mission field is not only outside the church but there could even be lost people in the church.
Zambia taught me more about Gods love, character and goodness. I am truly thankful for the outreach and what God did. Soli Deo Gloria.
Now we are heading back to South Africa. Please pray with us as we have 16 more days left of Impact South Africa. Pray that Gods will may be done.
