Swaziland

I am currently on my way to Swaziland to train at an international sport leadership training level 1 for 15-25 students from South Africa and Swaziland. I will be training in 3 modules which includes servant leadership (following The example of Jesus by descending into greatness) , building effective teams (discipleship), and partnership (partnering together as the body of Christ in His kingdom).

Please pray for The Lord to speak through me as I seek to listen to Him.

Campus Ministry Retreat

On March 21-23, we served and partnered alongside one of our very close friends, George, helping out with a campus ministry retreat in Tulbagh.  George and I are basically like brothers, having played tennis together at Paul Roos High School in Stellenbosch and continued playing together at Abilene Christian University.  George is a part time campus minister at a church in Cape Town.  Their website is http://www.churchadventure.co.za

There were about 15-25 students, many of which are medical students since George's church is close to the medical university campus.  The theme for the weekend was on discipleship focusing on the questions: "What did Jesus mean when he said, go and make disciples of all nations?  And what does that look like today? "

I had the chance to be one of the speakers and got to talk about growing in obedience, living by the Spirit, hearing God's voice, and prayer using the following scriptures:
Growing in obedience:  Matthew 21:28-32, John 14:15-24 &  John 15:1-17
Living by the Spirit:  Rom 8:1-17, Galatians 5:16-26
Prayer/Hearing His voice:  John 10:1-18

It was truly a blessing serving alongside brothers and sisters in Christ investing into one another and the next generation of leaders who are hungry for the Lord and passionate to see God's kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven.

We were truly inspired by these leaders.  We were encouraged and inspired that these students and leaders truly believe that the world can be changed starting in their own church and that they are very serious about seeing South Africa changed..one person at a time.

Praise God for an amazing weekend!
